Here are some more pictures from the Great Ocean Road.
We got as far as Warrnambool and then headed back up the Great Ocean road towards Melbourne.
Melbourne was a fun city to tour. Avery and Tom went to watch an AFL game. They said that the game was hugely packed with action. They were glad Jocelyn and I decided to shop instead because we would have been asking questions the whole time... probably right.
In Melbourne we stayed in our first Hostel. Okay...that made me feel old... all of these young students and travellers. Here we got to visit the famous Federation square, the National Gallery of Australia with its beautiful stained glass roof, the Victorian markets and the Aquarium.
Below is a picture of a very interesting sea horse like creature. At first, I thought it was some plant moving in the water... interesting. The spider... is a Sydney funnel web spider... claimed to be the most venomous spider in the world! ... found in Sydney... lovely... glad that I have not run across one of these creatures... yet.
We were lucky to catch up with some of the other exchange teachers in the area. They were kind enough to invite us for a meal and then later ended up spending a couple of nights at one. They were welcoming and lovely folks. We shared stories, pictures and travel plans… nice.
We stopped off in Tarra-Bulga National park on the way home up the coast to see this cool suspension bridge. Well... the bridge was a little bit of a disappointment, but there were some lovely big trees.
We are now back home... back to school. I am registered to take my overseas training course in May so that I can teach in public schools.
Sorry about the videos going on and off. The video function is in beta version and there is a few bugs in it.
Hope you are enjoying the blog.
We are enjoying receiving your emails
Take care,
